Dr. Renee Rossi works part-time supervising Otolaryngology residents at Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas. (Otolaryngology is a fancy word for "ear nose and throat medicine" particularly head and neck surgery). She completed her medical school training at the University of Michigan and her residency in Otolaryngology at Ohio State University Hospitals. She was an instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School for six years before joining the Otolaryngology Faculty at UT Southwestern Medical. Dr. Rossi has participated in several international medical missions. In 2000, she co-founded the DFW division of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and helped develop an ovarian cancer educational program that is used nationally. Renee is interested in healing arts and combines medicine, visual art and poetry. Her poetry chapbook "Still Life" was recently awarded the Gertrude Poetry Prize. She recently published "Third Worlds", a formal collection of humanitarian poetry. |
