I was invited to speak Sunday night at the Dallas Everest Lions Club about our current project Hearts In The Himalayas.  DELC membership is primarily Nepalese which explains their interest in our documentary.  I approached the club back in 2010 to assist our team in learning about the culture and traditions of Nepal. To be honest, I wanted to make certain I did not insult anyone I met in Nepal during my shoot by committing an embarrassing faux pas.  Then president, Binita Shrestha and member Bandana Himal stepped up to give me the low-down on the do's and don'ts of Nepalese culture. 

I spent a lot of time with Bandana, who went through the most common mistakes foreigners make which involved inappropriate attire, improper greetings, taboo subjects to avoid.  Binita published a glowing  article about our documentary and Himalayan HealthCare in the DELC magazine.
