Hearts In The Himalayas Named Festival Finalist

Dallas, Texas (March 20, 2014) Caring For The World Films announced today its latest documentary project Hearts In The Himalayas has been selected for screening at the 2014 Albuquerque Film and Media Event Film Festival. The event celebrates extraordinary, forward-thinking filmmakers worldwide whose socially conscious work emphasizes the critical role and influence the arts play in creating an economically and environmentally sustainable future for all.  The award-winning documentary was selected among hundreds of entries from around the world.  The festival takes place June 1st-8th in Albuquerque New Mexico.

(December 2, 2013) – “It is humbling to see continued support of our latest humanitarian documentary Hearts In The Himalayas,” said the film’s director Debi Lang when she was notified of its acceptance as a finalist in the PovertyCure  International Short Film Festival.  She is asking the public to vote for the film in the Audience Choice Awards contest on Facebook.

Dallas, Texas (September 9, 2013) – Caring For The World Films announced today that its film Hearts In The Himalayas has been named an official selection of the Chicago International Social Change Film Festival.  It was selected among hundreds of films, which showcase inspiring stories of struggle and solutions to humanitarian crisis and human rights issues around the world.  The documentary profiles the extraordinary work of Himalayan HealthCare (HHC), a driven and dedicated non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides medical care, education, and income generation opportunities to the people of rural Nepal.

The festival celebrates established and emerging filmmakers worldwide whose topics focus on issues of the developing world and honors only the most outstanding films.  It was selected among hundreds of entries from over 30 countries around the world.  The festival takes place September 19th -22nd in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley.

The IAVA honors only the most outstanding progressive and innovative visual marketing campaigns and is sanctioned and judged by an invitation-only body of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media firms. Judges include executives from Disney, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, HBO, MTV, and Yahoo among others.  The Award of Excellence, the Communications Awards’ highest honor, is given to those entries whose ability to communicate puts them among the best in the field.

Worldfest is the longest running international film festival and past notable winners include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas the Coen Brothers, David Lynch, Ridley Scott, Brian DePalma, Spike Lee, Oliver Stone and Ang Lee.

Dallas, Texas (March 7, 2013) Caring For The World Films announced today it is the recipient of two 2013 Telly Awards for its latest documentary project Hearts In The Himalayas.  With 11,000 international entries, The Telly awards are designed to honor outstanding media production.  Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world in a variety of fields.  Caring For The World Films was awarded a Silver award in the category of Cinematography, Videography and Photography and a Bronze award for Editing.  The film has received a Best Short Award and 4 Omni Awards.

The Omni Intermedia Awards are designed to recognize and commend the accomplishments of outstanding media production in a variety of fields.  Caring For The World Films was awarded two Silver Omnis in the categories of Documentary and Public Service Media and two Bronze Omnis for  Directing and Cinematography/Videography/Photography.
